Join Recovinyl

Converters who produce PVC products and recyclers who process PVC waste at end-of-life, can all benefit from being part of the Recovinyl-certified network.

Being Recovinyl certified can reduce your company’s operating costs and your environmental impact which clearly sends a message about your company’s attitude towards sustainable development – a factor that is of growing marketing importance to customers such as local authorities and big consumer brands.

Does it cost anything?

No. The cost of the Recovinyl Certification system is covered by the European PVC industry, so if your application to be certified is accepted, you will get all of the benefits without any costs to your business. As part of the contract agreement that you will sign with Recovinyl, and in order to encourage companies to join, you will receive a yearly payment for a limited period of time. There are 2 levels for recyclers: standard and advance, and one single category for converters.

Will your business have to do anything?

The only thing you will have to do is to regularly supply data on the volumes of material you are producing or using. These data go directly into a computer system that can be accessed online, zero hassle.  These statistics will need to be verified occasionally by EUCertPlast auditors.

What is Recovinyl’s added value?

  • CREDIBILITY: Recovinyl acts as a certification body which validates the information provided by recyclers and converters
  • STANDARD: Recovinyl has the potential to become an industry standard accepted and look after by recyclers and converters
  • STIMULATE: Opportunity to increase the “Pull Market” for PVC recyclate, creating new opportunities for recyclers and converters who will be able to access recyclate of high quality
  • PVC MINDED: Set up by the European PVC industry for the European PVC industry
